Quebecor asks CRTC to punish hotel broadcasters

In the wake of a Federal Court ruling that determined a trio of companies that had established a private television network for hotels violated Quebecor Inc.’s copyright by rebroadcasting TVA Sports, Quebecor has asked the CRTC to remove the companies from the regulator’s list of exempted broadcast distribution undertakings (BDUs) under its 2017 BDU order.
