

Fraud on the rise: RCMP; Data, enforcement needed for telecoms: anti-SIM swap advocate

In 2021, the RCMP detected a 130 per cent increase in fraud perpetrated against Canadians, resulting in some $379 million in losses, according to director general of the RCMP’s National Cybercrime Coordination Chris Lynam.
