

ISED rolls out broadband across southern Ontario

The Department of Innovation, Science and Economic Development (ISED) is partnering with the government of Ontario to provide high-speed internet access to hundreds of communities in southern Ontario, it was announced Monday. High-speed is defined as download speeds of 50 megabits per second (Mbps) and upload speeds of 10 Mbps. The two governments are spending $219 million on the projects.
